Lots of stuff going down…
This week here in the USA, we had a show air called, “LOST: The secrets” in it the exec. produces tells up definitivley that the plane crashed because desmond didnt push the button way back at the beginning and the ensuing electromagnetic pulse/discharge caused the plane to crash…that being said, any thoughts on why naomis helicopter crashed?
i think the idea is that the island can make regular ships or planes or helicopters crash simply because the magnetism draws them. But that the reason 815 crashed is the system failure. normally a passenger airplane wouldn’t crash on the island just because of the electromagnetism. the system failure boosted it somehow.
Yeah why did the helicopter crash? we know why 815 crashed, but we dont know why the helicopter suddenly died, or Rousseau’s ship all those yrs ago? maybe a connection?
I reckon the Looking Glass is designed to screw up the signals of anything coming close to the island in order to keep it secret.
How about the possibility that Naomi is lying.. Me personally.. I dont’ believe a word she says…In the episode where Sayid is questioning Naomi…. Sayid also asks Desmond whether or not he actually saw the helicopter crash.. and he replies no… seems to me the crasing of a heliocopter would make a hell of a lot of noise for no one to notice or hear…
I too admit that perhaps she could be lying… BUT, if she is in fact from the others or the like, why would they send her in with a SAT phone? And why would Ben be in obvious turmoil over the fact that she is there if she is with them?
Well I’m not necessarily saying that Naomi is w/ the others..Maybe on level the Dharma work is still in effect, and she w/ them, or Hanso maybe….I dunno.. I’m just saying her story is suspect right now.. In my eyes anyway… and this is based mere on the fact that there was no evidence of any helicoptor crash at all… and regarding the SAT phone.. It didnt look to me as if Namoi was thrilled w/ the idea of using the phone either …. Rewatch the episode.. and watch Naomi’s face as she realizes what the new plan is.. Charlie unblocking the signal/ Jack and the other Losties going to the tower to use the phone.. she looks almost nervous…. Check it out again and see what you think…
I agree that you are right… and I read something else on this site that made me think her story is just that, a story…. How often do you see people parachute or eject from a helicopter? 9 times out of 10, its only planes that, that happens too no?
i think Naomi droppen similar to the food supply drops…..the suppossd helicopter that crashed in the water…was not a helicpter at all…it was a capsule carrying the two women in the Looking Glass Hatch…….they all work for Dharma…..Dharma does know how to find the island and still dropped supplies…..so why not drop the women operatives…..dharma and the others are not aligned i beleive……also notice that where the supposed helicopter crashed was right over the hatch……no wreckage has washed ashore……no wreckage was shown around or near the looking glass hatch when charlie and Dez took the boat out there……..very suspicious……
