When Claire first speaks to Mr Eko In season 2, he asks her why she called the baby Aaron. He went on to say that Moses had great difficultly in speaking to people (like Jacob does) and so Aaron spoke for him.
In the bible, Aaron along with Moses, performed “signs” before his people which impressed them with a belief in the reality of the divine mission of the brothers. And get this…. the passage is Exodus 4:15-16!!!!!
Is anyone able to expand on this?

Thanks for the additional background.
Either we’ll have to wait a long time or the show will get a lot creepier for Aaron to start being the interpreter for the island’s prophet!!
:)
Interesting. Unfortunately, I can’t expand on that point, but the biblical references definitely abound in Lost.
Just another bit of biblical trivia, though: Some people here have been commenting on the mysterious red substance seen in the jars at the cabin where Jacob is being “kept”. I came across a bibilcal reference to soup which Jacob had prepared and offered his brother, Esau, in exchange for his birthright as first born son to Abraham. Apparently the soup was referred to as “red, red, stuff” …
I cannot even begin to guess if this relates - but who knows?
Nice
