Im not going to get into a full blown theory right now, because after tonights episode, I am just totally blown away. I loved it. Im still trying to take it all in. The writers are so creative to once again present SO many freggin new questions. BUT….heres a few things…
Number Uno, for the love of all that is good and pure Jacob is not the Smoke Monster! Please….if you want to know about ole smokey go to lostpedia and check out the breakdown of the blastdoor. Its all there about the DI creating a “Cereberus”. Im not trying to be a jerk or anything…and hell I hope that im wrong so everyone can yell at me….but use a little logic. To make a ghost named Jacob with the ability to magically shift into a black smoke monster gifted with the ability to “scan” people using bright flashes of light….I mean a fu@#in ghost in a haunted ass cabin in the middle of a haunted ass jungle and a smoke monster that beats people to death is enough…dont combine the two!
Number Dos, if any of you are familiar with the film the Skeleton Key staring Kate Hudson (I thought it was a pretty crappy movie…really good idea but not really done right, you check it out for yourself) the people in the house spoke of an old Bayou belief in some sort of grounded powder substance (which I cant recall right now but plan on watching it again just for this) that one places in a straight line in front of ones door to keep evil spirits out. Such is the same I believe with the powder around Jacobs cabin. It has him trapped which is why he says “Help Me” to John. But me personally…..helping out a freakin ghost…I see no good in it….that is unless he just happens to have a cruiseship docked off the coast of the island that can get everyone rescued. Perhaps it would be better if the losties dont help this cat. We shall see.
And thirdly, there is much I wish to speculate on and conspirarize (is that a word?) with you all….but I just dont have the energy after a show like tonight. There are WAY to many questions to be presented….so many that I have seen numerous posts asking nothing but questions. That means we had a really great show that helps further the show for atleast another season. Speaking of which…..is it true that LOST has been extended like three or four more seasons?

Yes, The skeleton key, that also was my first thought when I saw the sand outside of the barrack and the ghost stuff. Indeed a bad movie. I hope that the sand will be something else than that hoodoo stuff and that the theories about possession by a spirit will be shown to be false in the next episodes. We already saw too much of that stuff in the X-files and movies like the skeleton key, it wouldn’t be original.
Maybe Jacob is Ben’s rabbit and the sand is the result of it digging tunnels around the island. :-) Hmm just kidding.
