Look, this is the greatest show I’ve ever seen. Even though the producers said everything would be explained in a scientific or “psuedo-scientific” manner, I was OK with the fact that people are suddenly healed on the Island. I was OK with people seeing dead relatives. I was OK with there being a monster made of black smoke, because I believed everything would be explained in at the very least a sci-fi type of way. Time travel, fine with me. Smoke monsters, fine with me too. Dead people on the island, fine with me, as long as they aren’t spirits or ghosts.

I refuse to believe that Jacob or any other of the dead people shown on the Island are spirits or ghosts. I don’t think the producers would be that unoriginal and pathetic to bring spirits or ghosts into the show. And if Jacob is indeed some sort of ghost or whatever I will be entirely let down and the show will suck from that point on.

All depends on what you call a “ghost”? could be a energy from another dimension in time? could be mental images brought about by a more inteligent being? could be the force? but I think the “clone” theory may now be dead. This is all faith based from here on out. the technology angle has been a red herring for us all.

i’ve always believed that one day scientists will be able to understand ghosts and spirits on a scientific level

I was upset after seeing this episode for about 10 minutes, then I remembered that I trust the producers and writers enough to make everything come together in the end.
