if you play the connection game between the characters and try enough connections, eventually you can access the dharma computer.

First and foremost please forgive me, I am new to the site so I do not really know what has been discussed and what has not but ….im sure most of you guys are familiar with the Lost Expierience game or whatever. I finished the film and watched all seventy pieces, but I never really heard the outcome of it all. But I wanted to ask a question and pose a theory.

The question….does anyone have any information on the validity of the Valenzetti equation in relation the actuall show (not just the game)? I mean if it didnt mean anything at all then why go through the trouble to bother with all of the talk about it. Secondly, this may be redundant, as many of you may already be aware of this but going along with the belief that the equation does relate to the show, I think it is of interest to know that on the LOST season two DVD, in the bonus disc….if you play the connection game between the characters and try enough connections, eventually you can access the dharma computer. Once doing so it requires one to enter the code, which luckily we all know. After the code has been released you access screens with all the numbers, that after being clicked on reveal all the places (or at least a lot) where the numbers have appeared on the show (esp in flashbacks)…then if you continue to click all, this a page will appear with a flash. In this flash you can clearly discern a picture of a blue book. It is the same blue book that I saw during the Lost Expierience game that was reportedly written by Gary Troup (whome we all prob know) and was a documentary of sorts on Valenzetti and his theory. That being said, I do believe this Equation has something to do and will be seen in the real show. I mean why put it on the DVD special disc right? But with all of this, has anyone thought that perhaps the numbers represent people. Just hear me out….I believe that perhaps the numbers are (as has been stated during the Lost Expierence) numerical values associated with the environmental and human factors associated with the equation. So basically, thats a fancy way of saying the numbers represent people and perhaps the island. Example, the number 23. I believe it represents Kate. Think about Exodus 2, seasone one. Hurley is counting the numbers outloud as they walk away from the newly opend hatch. He says the number 23, Kate stops him and asks him what he said. He of course replies with , “nothing”. She says, “funny, thought you said 23.” It was the number of the reward money the australian man turned her in for. He had a hell of a mortgage after all. Ive been trying to remember if there are any other serious relations these numbers (particulary one number) relates to one certain character and NOT just the places where the numbers appear everywhere in everyones backstories (case in point, 1516 the numbers on the safe deposit box in Kates flashback). If anyone has any input of perhaps a paticular number of the equation, such as 4 or 8, that relates specifaclly to one character more than others let me know. Out.

The numerology of the narrative will drive you mad. You’ll end up like the connect-four playing Leonard in the loony bin. I’ve also thought that the numbers could easily represent people or groups of people on the island. For instance, 48 people survived from the front of the plane. That’s a 4 and an 8. Then they found Rouseseau, who said that there were 6 on her boat. She survived, and the rest of her group died. She would be a 1 and the dead from her group are 5 (15). Then they found Desmond (another 1) and I’m sure there are a group of 6 somewhere in there to make a 16. 23 survived from the tail section, etc, etc. The point is, with numerology, it is fairly easy to see “the numbers” everywhere, but almost impossible to figure out their significance without some corroberation from the writers themselves because numerical values, by definition, can literally stand for anything. If you want an example of a theory that shows how mathematical truths can be related mythologically through religious iconism, check out the theory posted on this site entitled “The Tibetan Book of the Dead.” I wrote this one a few days ago and, while I’m sure that it in no way explains all that is going on, at least its a good example of how we, as humans, often see our own gods within the mathematics of the universe. Welcome and happy theorizing.
