We don’t really know who (for sure) who Locke’s parents are. I guess I simply propose that Locke has one very very good parent and one very very bad. For all we know Emily, (Locke’s mom), and Cooper (Lockes dad) are not even related to him.
We don’t see flash backs of him with a brother but in the toy store he told a little boy he had a brother. Yet, apparently he had one, or he was just a lier (like BEN?)
Anyway - for awhile, I have thought that for some reason, Cooper - the con-man simply went out of his way and found someone…..foster kid, adoptive kid………………….to steal a kidney from…there has to be a very easy way for a con-man to seduce a nurse…geeeeeeeee - might her name be Emily? Get the blood type etc. and hope it matches?
my point of this post is only this… We don’t know that Emily and Cooper are John Lockes Parents, only that Cooper got Lockes kidney and seduced Ford’s mom……we have to go with what we know….right?…Black and white….
They gave us too much of Locke………..to throw us off….we have no idea who Locke’s parent’s are……only that Cooper….a con man, and Emily…a strange type of mental patient got Locke to give Cooper a Kidney….Daaaaaaaaaaa….Locke was probably in the institution too…….but …..black eye……..white eye….we have no idea who lockes ma and pa are…cooper could be Jame’s Ford’s mom’s seducer, and Emily just a seduced nurse or smart mental patient looking to make some money….t……….So….Emily and Cooper aren’t Locke’s parents…..now we need to find out who is…..Black eye, White Eye…one good parent, one bad….Raised by another.

I and a couple other people have thought this as well. It makes sense that Locke’s parents are not actually his parents. His “Mom” got paid to arrange his meeting with Cooper. I think that maybe we will see that Locke is Ben’s “opposite” in more ways than one…Perhaps his long lost brother…or as someone else suggested, perhaps Charles Widmore’s brother?
The private investigator Locke hired obtained a DNA sample and confirmed that Emily was Jon’s mother.
There is no reason to believe he would lie to a kid in a toy store about his brother.
I’m no doctor, but I believe for a kidney to match, there has to be more than blood type match.
Cooper knew too many intimate details about Sawyer’s mother to be coincidence.
I don’t know, but I agree he is one troubled individual who I wouldn’t be surprised if he did spend some time with a therapist of shrink - maybe not the the degree of Santa Rosa though
