Ben tried to kill Locke…or was he trying to give him faith?

Also….Why did Locke tell jack..”this isn’t what you are supposed to do”

We are assumming Ben really is good.. Did he really want locke dead? If he did one of them is good, one bad, Choose…… SO FAR…..Ben lies to everyone….. Jack may choose to believe the Penny message and Des…. That could be the mistake…..we really didh’t see who disabled Naomi…Right…So….Is Ben Power hungry???

Ben wanted Locke out of the way because Jacob spoke to Locke - Ben is threatened by Locke’s growing stature with the Others; thinks he could replace Ben as their leader. I still think both are good, but Ben is unravelling under the pressure and has become desperate

Why did Locke say that to Jack? if you figure that out, its a MAJOR piece to the puzzle and probably why Jack is lamenting to Kate in the final they have to get back to the island - somehow contacting Naomi’s boat leaves us with the impression its is a mistake (either in this lifetime, time period, alternate universe) because Charlie warns Des its not Penny’s boat out there! @#$%^&* I wish I knew!

I don’t think Walt threw the knife - he’s John’s inner voice/conscience/whatever but not there in flesh. I think Locke threw the knife all the way. The only way I would believe it was Walt is if Locke was not physically there.

Hey…Holiday…I think Stip just said it all. I dont really know about the knife thing though. I still have doubts because it happened so fast!! And Locke had a gun…but….like I said… I dont know.. I just think the way Naomi died was fast and weird.

holiday: check out this string that’s currently going on - not directly related to Ben, but addresses your question why Locke said “this isn’t what you are supposed to do”
