Great idea o puckish one. Speaking for myself (as that other person in my head is still asleep at the moment), I’d prefer to have the competition just be about the show rather than have competitions between L-Ters. One idea for a category: Best Nickname.

X, I hardly ever sit at at desk. I am a prosecuting attorney, and I also work as an attorney for children who have been taken into state custody by DHS. on the other side, in another county, I represent the parents whose children are taken into custody. I also do estates, wills, and general family law like adoptions and divorces.

We could have something equivalent to the “Razzies” and group the “Most the Steve” type categories with that.

We could call it the “Footlocker Awards”.

I’m liking the most enjoyable death sequence and would vote for the same one I think. How ‘bout “best vision”? And best overall storyline for a particular character? Character most likely to be other than they seem so far?

If we’re voting for things like “Best Theorist”—I’d like to see it broken down more, like “Best Overall Concept of Show,” “Best Character Analysis”—’cause actually I think people have very complementary skills here. And actually along those lines we could think of particular theories that go well together. Maybe vote for particular theories as well as theorists?

Kat, I was trolling though the old theories and came across your original I think. it was pretty good. had to do with bermuda triangle and such. much better than my initial offering to the lost gods

couple of years. its a great job. I read To Kill a Mockingbird as a kid and have wanted to be Atticus ever since. He’s kind of my hero. Plus I had years of training from Law and Order. I love Jack McCoy and Ben Stone

Hex: Not at all, I mean laugh in a scary way! I really think this guy, had some serious, serious, psychological problems. I never posted anything in any of his threads. He totally creeped me out! Never seen anything like it in my life!!!

I think I’m gonna have a hard time voting for “best of’s” when it comes to my colleagues. Except for trolls, I generally find value in just about every post I see here (although I’ll admit I haven’t been around as often as I used to be, regrettably). Now, it’s true that there are some people I know here better than others, but… voting for someone who’s a chum of mine doesn’t really reveal who the “best” is in any particular category, and I’m afraid I’m an incurable literalist about such things. :-)

Still, I’m eager to vote in categories where I have a strong opinion.

As for categories:

Best Theme — Show Nominations: Daddy Issues, Light vs. Dark, Long Cons, Love Affairs, Science vs. Faith, Battle for Control of the Island, Spiritual Journey, Philosophical Questions, Psychology/Sociology, Mystery.

Best Theme — Theories Nominations: Time Travel, Time Loops (events repeating themselves), EM Weirdness (everything explained via electromagnetism), Paranormal Island (Philadelphia and Montauk Experiment, psychic phenomena, synchronicity), Hard Science Explanations, Supernatural Events, Implants, DI (everything begins and ends with the Dharma Initiative), Pearl Station (the writers are making it up as they go along).

Or… anyway… stuff like that…
