And don’t forget casual Friday… :) Lockeko owes me a bottle of mouth wash and a few beers…. Someone needs to DJ … Volunteers?
Back in May in a pod cast, it was stated that Ben was NOT the only Dharma member to join the others… who was the other(s)??
Michael Emerson (Ben) was asked back in June if the rescue boat that was coming was with Dharma and his answer was, and I quote, “No.” So who does that leave?
On 8-13-07 C.C. and D.L. said that who is on the freighter and if they are good or bad is a significant part of next season…. So my question is, “oh yeah?” They then continued on to say, “IF Naomi was lying about working for Penny … who says there even is a boat?” No my head is cloudy… did they call somewhere else with the phone? (Obviously, but where?).
In May, in an interview with E! Online D.L. states that the Others were in danger of extinction. So, extinction from what? What will save them?
In June also with E! Online Michael Emerson was asked, “Besides the reasons given do you think Ben wants to stay on the Island because he doesn’t think he will be able to fit into normal society, you know, like a con re-adjusting to life or…?” his answer.. “No, there is a bigger reason.” So what is this reason?? But this does kind of hint that Ben more than likely does not under any circumstances want to leave the island…
Yes, I think that’s just the quesiton - why can’t anyone leave? Alex asked the very same question: “Dad, why won’t you just let them leave?” His answer was something like, “Because I can’t, Alex.” hmmm…. very mysterious indeed. I personally think it has something to do with the “bi-location” thing. The island’s inhabitants can’t successfully live or “be” in two places at once - it will kill them. Somehow Alpert has mastered this - I just don’t know how.
Great Question +1
Just an old question which somehow relates to why can’t they leave. (not sure if it has been answered already or not) - why a submarine to get back and forth?
‘what about seeing Ethan in the real world in Juliette’s flashback, doesn’t that mean he was able to go back and forth between his bi-localities.
Really great questions think, As to extinction, they may have been hinting at the baby issue. No babies = no continuity of civilization. Think about it prior to the Losties, the youngest people on the island were alex and carl, btw, who are carl’s parents?
I do think the submarine was necessary to get to the looking glass (or maybe a different underwater hatch?) and then the hatch acts as a portal allowing them to get off and on.
I would volunteer to DJ TT but my tastes are fairly eclectic.
If 1989 is ok, I can dj, when I get to the party. I’ll probably already be drunk though and want to play songs like “You Never even called me by my name” “Brown eyed Girl” and of course “Margaritaville” If the party gets real wild, I’ll throw on some Skynyrd and AC/DC. As a true southerner, I have never attended a party where “sweet home alabama” and “you shook me all night long” were not part of the playlist. Don’t hate me for it.
lockeko: I love those songs, you have my vote!!
Think: Great questions! Lots to chew on. No big answers here, but I thought the sub brought Ben, Roger and Juliet to the island. So they had to have some means of transporting Richard and Ethan off island to recruit people, no?
Any of those are just fine Lockeko, just please leave the AC/DC at home… ;)
I’m starting to think that perhaps the Sat phone didn’t call a boat…. maybe it called another hatch?? And now who ever was on the other end of that phone knows that something is seriously amiss with the others and the losties and is sending reinforcements for the others?
TT: that’s a great thought.
