I was recently rewatching TTLG, and noticed that the show opened with the flash forward. Can anyone else recall shows beginning without at least showing the island? Don’t know where this might lead, but I did notice it.
That’s a tough one to remember! If I remember correctly, Juliet’s first episode opened in Miami. Also, I think that Kate’s flashback episode when she meets the woman that Sawyer conned (also the mother of his child), the opening is at a motel where she is staying. Can’t think of any others right now!
I´m not sure, but if i remember correctly the firts eko-episode opens in africa, might be wrong though.
I’m not sure either, lockeko, but I am sure I posted an answer to you the same day you asked the question!! Who knows where it went, I probably forgot to press “post”.
But what I think I said was, at the time I couldn’t remember any epi’s opening with a flashback. Now I see that other’s have, but I thought that the writer’s may have thought the S3 finale showing us the first flashforward was so important that that’s why they opened with it…
All old news now, just wanted you to know I wasn’t ignoring you!!!
Thanks Annie, I couldn’t remember any other episodes opening with non island scenes, but I guess they did. probably not nearly as meaningful as I had hoped.
lockeko: good question. I’d have to go back and check, but nothing comes to mind.
Another one for you: what about the significance of episodes that open with a closeup of an eye vs ones that do not. Any significance?
