Island
Remember 2 episodes ago when Ben brings Juliette to the Flame and he shows her sister via live video? Her sister was alive, her cancer went into remission, and her baby looked about 2 years old. Let’s see, Juliette was on the Island for about 3 years, she left while her sister was pregnant, and now we see her sister with a baby who looks to be about 2 years old.
Heh…
Well, while I agree with your opinion, I don’t think we can be so bold in claiming that it’s fact. The whole thing that Ben showed Juliet could have been staged. The Others stage a lot of things. I don’t think it was staged, but can we really blame others for thinking it was?
When it comes to LOST, many things will only be debunked when the creators explicitly debunk it.
Because obviously the Others (a group of highly skilled con artists) couldn’t have had that video taken say, 5 years ago (earth-time) and then sent it to the Island. That is obviously impossible.
And clearly there is nothing going on with time on this show. Not Desmond’s lucid flashback in s03e08(“Flashes Before Your Eyes”), or his precognitive flashes all through Season 3.
And the use of time as a plot device (108 minutes) has never been done on this show.
It’s not like every episode is constantly full of references to another point in a certain character’s timeline.
Right.
Officially debunked by a guy with 2 posts, one of which is about commercials.
Well, I’m convinced.

Creativity 1: Time flows in a totally normal way on the show.
Likelihood 1: Time flows in a totally normal way on this show. No, really, it does.
Overall 1: Time flows in a totally normal way on this show. Did I already say that? Oh, my bad, it must be time warping in on itself to prove you wrong.
lol…
you guys are mean, I was just messin around trying to spark some conversation here. love u
:-D
I grew up in a family of 5… we’d easily have defended one other to our last breaths, and yet we fought with each other constantly.
It’s good to be home. :-D
NOVA - Don’t take it personally, I’m just saying there’s too much evidence of time being both a major plot device (flashbacks, visions) on LOST. Add into that the fact that we have a character who almost explicity defies the nature of causality and the timeline, and it seems highly unlikely that time flows in a linear sense that is totally connected with the world outside the Island.
Also, you are wrong.
Time on the island is not different in “speed flow” than outside time, the only difference is you can change future and past, but the distance between past and future you can’t. At least that’s whata i’m saying, and it’s not debunked.
Thank you!
Lost Time is a red herring.
I am in agreement with most of the comments. What “the producers” have confirmed, is that time DOES flow differently on “the island” than in the real world.
id just like to add that if lost writers did something so stupid and uncreative as making stuff like going back in the past and to the future and bring time travel into the equation i would stop watching the show, piss on all the seasons ive purchased and throw that crap away because it would be proven that lost sucks, and by the ways its been going this season its slowly trickling to me that they have no clue where theyre going and are just trying to milk it for all its worth………………………but this is just me venting at my frustration of my favorite show
it will simply be a time anomoly on the island no parallel dimensions no other cp like that just something up with time caused by the electromegnetic energy and the release of the energy from the destruction of the swan has strengthened it
