She says “The last thing either one of you needs right now is more blood on your hands” - thereby in my opinion confirming that someone or something is “keeping score” of the bad things people did or do.

Why else would she say this? They’re on a damn island shut off from civilation. Where else could you normally care more LESS about how much blood you have “on your hands”?

Mm interesting. I think the blood on your hands is definitly a metaphor for something. And your idea of ‘keeping score’ can easily be linked to ‘the list’ were people that are not flawed are on, according to Mikhail. So maybe something on the island is keeping track of good and bad things, like the whole Kate being held prisoner and John comes in and says he put up a good case for her, but since she had killed a man and done bad things with her life, they did not want to take her with them. John on the other hand, is a ‘good man’ according to Ben. So yes, I agree. There is so sort of tally for good and bad deeds that can decided what happens to the losties

108, no offense, but ‘blood on your hands’ is a pretty obvious metaphor.

It’s a metaphor for having the feeling that someone’s death is your fault or for actually killing someone.
