This will come to be a HUGE error in judgement and she will turn on our Losties.

Alright, here we go. Now first off, allow me to say I truly love and appreciate this site, because it allows me to interact with such great LOST minds as Les Lemieux and ProfOzone daily. And through our combined ranting….in many occasions I find enlightenment. A new perspective on things, perhaps a new view I didnt see before of a situation on the island. Now that being stated…..let us begin.

Alright, first a little history. Season two. Toward the end of the season, Id say from around “Three Minutes” to “Live together, Die Alone (finale), we see two seperate story lines taking off. 1) Jack,Kate,Sawyer,Hurley and Michael heading out for otherville. 2) Locke, Desmond, Eko and Lockes struggle with his faith with the island and esp the button. Now what happens….good ole Mr. Clean doesnt press the button….the influx of electromagnetism starts….sh#@ starts flying around the hatch, and a very remorseful John looks to the camera and states, “I was wrong”. Desmond inputs the key and kaboom! No more Swan. And all that other stuff happens with Jack and company.

So here we are, steam rolling straight ahead toward the finale of season three (though we are still aways off I know..grrr). Anyhoo, the question I have is….does anyone see history about to repeat itself….except in reverse? In the last episode, Left Behind, it would seem as though the story wanted to make the viewer believe that the great white hunter was turning against our beloved losties as he states he is going with the others. I even bought into it. I became angry with John and wanted to run into the villiage and gather the townsfolk, torches in hand, for a good ole’ fashioned burning at the stake! However, after reading some of my fellow lost fans posts…..I do believe I have sent away the angry mob and put the torches out! After “Left Behind” we now have two stories set in motion. 1) Jack, Kate, Sayid, and Blonde Devil (you may know her as Juliette) are heading to the losties camp. 2) Ben, the others, and fresh legs Locke are heading out for God knows where. But something tells me Locke knows where they are going and I believe he has a plan. I just cant believe that he would be stupid enough again to trust someone and get himself screwed over. There is no way he will let any selfish motive drive him to absolute destruction again! That being said…..heres the theory. As it has been shared on this site….i think im buying it. The big shock in the finale will not be Locke “turning” but rather it will be Jack. However, to say this you must understand the term “turn”. I do not believe that Jack has “turned” to the side of the others, or brainwashed or any of that jargen! I simply believe as it all builds up we will see Jack do his normal thing and be the great protector! Except this time, the person he is protecting, Juliette, will stab him in the back and do something very terrible to our Losties!

So what does this mean? It means their will be weeks(tv time) of the show where we see Doc Metro trying to woo everyone to his cause and to trust the blonde devil! Many will fall for this, trusting Jacks judgement….but some will not. Yay for Sayid! I hope he catches on to her quick though! Anyways, we will see Jack, with a good heart, protect Juliette as she “protected” him in captivity. This will come to be a HUGE error in judgement and she will turn on our Losties. So in the word “turn” I do not mean Jack really but rather Julliette “turning” against the losties after earning their trust, via Jack pleading her case! So we will have Jack perhaps being a little more like Locke then he considers himself to be. Which would tie into the whole underlying rivalry between the two….Man of Science, Man of Faith. How does this all relate to a “snake in the box”? Well Jack will do such a good job of convincing us of her innocence (and she will too) that we the audience will want to believe Juliette. But to no avail! She is not to be trusted!

What will this equal to? Probably another moment where a character looks into the camera and says,….”I was wrong”. Except this time its Captain America himself, Jack. Not Locke. At the sametime, I believe we will see Locke, doing somehting very good. He will perhaps outwit Ben and do a great deed for the Losties at camp.

Now, if any one wants any kind of evidence of any of this…..there is only one source that I can really use to back up this theory. possible spoiler… beware! There is rumor, through Lostpedia (spoller section) that Charlie will not be coming back for season 4. Thats not new info….but what is interesting is their is also reported rumors leaked that it will be juliette who does him in! If that is the case….then my theory is dead on I would guess. But I want to know what you guys think. Sound off.

Cool post. My two cents is is that Jack chose Juliette, not the others. I think Juliette will be the good person, and Jack may turn on her and the losties because Juliette will recognize Sawyers natural leadership abilities. In Jacks mind, this will be the third victory for Sawyer in the female department (Kate and Ana). Hurley is definitely grooming Sawyer to be a leader and it will build nothing but resentment in Jack.

I’m in agreement with you lostboy09. That’s a very plausable prediction concerning Jack making a huge mistake and realizing it in the final episode. Also, as I’ve said before, I agree that Jack is not a pawn of the others, he just is mistakenly trusting Juliet.

And Colhogan, I so hope you’re right that Sawyer steals Jack’s role as leader. I don’t think you are right, but that would be great! I have been annoyed with Jack’s leadership role since the beggining of the show. At times he’s been almost as stupid and unreasonable as Charlie. He’s an excellent doctor, but why that means he should call shots in general I have no idea.

Let’s remember that Juliette bears a striking resemblance to Jack’s ex wife ( and so does Penny Widmore for that matter). Is Jack trying to re-work that trauma again, to make the ending better for him this time?

    Just a thought…

I really don’t want Jack and Juliet together, i think your theory is right on. He will inevitably be his guilable self where Juliet is concerned and be duped by her….I firmly believe that she is up to no good. I would love it if Sawyer did a 180 and became the leader!!!!

Lostboy, I started reading this and thought that for the first time I was going to hate and completely disagree with one of your theories. However, I definitely think you are right that Jack isn’t going to “turn” and betray the losties, but he is going to be done in, once again, by his always wanting to save people and trust them.

Also, judging from the preview for the next episode, Sayid is already onto Juliet and whatever she may be planning. I think we may get another scene with Sayid torturing an Other for information and the truth.

I think you’re on the right track, lostboy. Great post, as always!

Well Nate I personally love to see Sayid get his hands on her! Maybe for once we could get some damn information from these people! And I take it Nathan that you must be a Jack fan? Well so am I friend. Hes my fav, so no need to worry about me posting anything bad about Jack. And thanks Ozone, your still the man! And thanks to everyone else for jumping in….it would be cool to see sawyer get right and stop his childish antics I agree.

It certainly makes sense that the blonde devil will kill Chuckie. He’s clearly marked for death. And seeing as how Desmond the clairvoyant keeps interfering, Ben has decided that he needs a presence inside the Lostie matrix to set things right. Charlie should smoke the rest of his Longbottom Leaf, ‘cause he aint got much time left.
